The Babies Make Ten

I cannot imagine trying to keep track of

eight babies,

one husband,

and myself.

It must be exhausting!
Mom is a Hybrid, part Mallard and part who knows what.

The babies are a mixed looking group.

Some were very dark little fur balls, completely adorable.
In this picture you can see the difference in their little faces.

They are still very little and momma is a good momma,
keeping a very close watch over them...I tried not to "ruffle her feathers"!

Always behave like a duck, keep calm and unruffled on the surface,
but paddle like the dickens underneath!

So fun! Great photos. I would love to see little ducks in person. There is something about them waddling around in a little row.

oh they are adorable, it's funny how they are all different, looks like they feel comfortable in the deep grass :)

Debbie - simply adorable. Around here, having so many is a survival strategy - what with coyotes and eagles and all manner of other predators, it will be a miracle if half make it to adulthood. Many predators in your neck of the woods?

Great shots. I find it hard to get good photos of ducklings and goslings.
