A Room With A View

Our room with a beautiful view of the Manasquan River.
The contractors finished up the pool a few weeks ago
and we have been enjoying it ever since.

I really like the look of the stamped concrete...
this will hold up much better than brick pavers and there will not be any settling.
And best of all, no weeds!

I also really like the little border they built around the pool area.
I could not be happier with the entire job.

We have our chairs...I need better little tables,

we have even more floats to inflate,

but have found these "noodles" to be most comfortable for us.

Float storage, "some assembly required"...
poor hubs, that thing came in an envelope and the directions looked like a novel!

You may remember that the birds chewed holes in the retractable awning.
We replaced it and the birds are back.
Every. single. day. we have to knock the nest out of the frame of the awning.
They aren't getting it, it's been weeks and they come back every day!
The hubs hung the pretty lights for me, I am a lover of lights.

It's a salt water pool, the new thing, but it feels the same...it does not feel like the ocean.
The water is crisp, clear and very refreshing!
Everything is new, so everything is working well, including the new, automatic vacuum.
It was a lot of work for the hubs,
preparing the yard before they started and there were a lot of finishing touches left up to him.
He also scrubbed all of the outdoor lights and painted them,
installed a lot of new sod after they were done
and he had to fix a lot of the sprinkler heads that were damaged during the work.
He did a lot more,
he was busy every day...it's wonderful to see him enjoying the pool now!

I'm only going to ask you one more time: "when are y'all going to adopt me?" :)

It looks beautiful and so refreshing, I am sure you will get a lot of use out of it this summer it has been so HOT! I do like the looks of the stamped concrete too and that will be so nice not having to worry about weeds growing in between.
Wow you will have to say those birds don't give up easily do they, when they find a spot they like they work for it.
Hope you enjoyed a great day yesterday!
