You may remember from previous posts that each year I keep memorabilia in a
Memory Jar
Last years jar is quite full...
with tickets, guide maps, movie stubs, coins, hotel room keys, 3-D glasses, game results,
and so much more.
Each piece is dated and if it is not obvious where it came from,
like the star fish, I write it on the back.
I topped the jar with this cute little whale I picked up in Mystic, Ct.
I wrote 2017 on it.
I wrote 2017 on it.
This was a great year,
we visited so many awesome places and had so much fun.
Looking through the memorabilia, evoked a lot of wonderful memories.
I recommend keeping these items in one place - a glass jar...
it doesn't take up much room and you can see at a glance what's in it.

That's a wonderful way to memorize the trips. Love it.

I like this idea. I will probably have to copy it.
Seems like a great idea, especially for someone like you who gets around a lot.
Hello, your memory jar idea is wonderful. You have lots of great memories from the past year. I love the cute whale. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day!
Very nice! Much better than having stuff crammed in a "junk" drawer where it's forgotten.
This is a wonderful idea, Debbie! The thought occurred to me since you mentioned 2017 was a very good year, if you had lots of memory jars displayed side by side? That would be an awesome collection!
Oh, I love that idea! I'm not sure I go to the type places where I end up with something (hiking trails?) heee! I did have an overabundance of pinecones this winter. But I took one glance and thought how great it all would be for the junk journals I'm making! Enjoy your day sweet lady!
You are too cleaver:) This is the best idea and what a way to capture special memories.
That is a terrific idea. I keep my pictures and keepsakes in a scrapbook. Got tons of them and love to pull one out and look at all the wonderful memories I have made.
What a fabulous idea! May need to borrow it. I'm not into scrapbooks although I do love taking photos but I think a memory jar, I could quite possibly accomplish.
Such a fun thing to do, Debbie!
What a fabulous idea, in reliving all those wonderful memories you made throughout the previous year. I wonder what beautiful memories you will create this year, Debbie??
It certainly is a good idea.
I've spent part of my Sunday sorting through some old family photographs, it was just lovely, brought back so many happy memories.
All the best Jan
You have the loveliest ideas!!! It's a jar of joy!!
I think I remember this - and still think it's a great idea. I really should try it - I tend to either leave things in drawers or throw them away, but this is a great way to keep it all together without feeling like there is a bunch of odds and ends lying around. It looks like you had a very fun year!
This is amazing. I love it. What a great way to keep up with what you have done through the year. How many jars do you have?
Neat way to keep your memories!
I love this idea of keeping a memory jar with all the memorabilia that you collect. I think it is such a great way to stimulate your memories. Thanks for sharing it; blessings and hugs for you!
That is a lovely idea :-) I do something similar. I write down a happy thought for each day and pop it in a jar, also a nice thing to look back on.
This is something that I'd bring out on those blued days when I think gee I never go places. Then a flash of the past would bring these precious moments back. Yeah the winter blues come far too often sometimes!
I love to see your Memory Jars, Debbie!
It looks like it was a wonderful (and very busy!) year.
Thank you for sharing, my friend.
xo.
it is a great way to look back on the year, I started a journal on what we go and do, what we liked about it and what we didn't.
