Fields of Gold

There is a field of sunflowers where the sunflowers stretch for as far as the eye can see.
This is the farm I have been searching for
The Sussex County Sunflower Maze
Family owned and operated, this field of sunflowers is extraordinary.
You are first greeted by dad, who directs you to his daughter and then on to his son.
Son fills you in on all the details.

We drove 2 hours to see this farm, we spoke to some people who drove further than that.
There was a craft show at the halfway point in Chester,
we went there first and that broke the trip up nicely.

- what a fun day -
this sunflower maze was amazing!!
Many thanks to the family for sharing this experience with us.
And can you believe on the way home, we stumbled upon a car show.
Could today get any better - no way - I'll show you the cars tomorrow!

That does sound like it was a fun day, Debbie surrounded by those beautiful sunflowers. Several years ago, my son, granddaughter and I enjoyed an entire morning "getting lost" in a similar maze!! Super fun and it was then that I learned about so many varieties...:)JP

Oh wow, what an amazing place. Well worth the long drive to see all those bright and sunny sunflowers! Your photos are breathtaking. I especially love the one of the sun rays shining on the sunflower. It sounds as if you both had the most perfect of days, Debbie.

You are almost too short for the cardboard wife and your hubs is also too tall.
We have many sunflower farms around here. I will go passed 3 of them when I go up to The Farm today.
The sunny fields always make me smile.

Another great outing!

And no, I am not going to show my husband, all those sunflowers! -grin- He sighed when he happened to see one, somewhere. "I have to protect him." -gigggles-

Surprisingly, they're still in good shape. I notice that they're very patriotic too.

First off, I love the picture of the two of you! You are so good at photographing flowers, both up close and far away! These are all gorgeous! I missed the sunflowers around here, just waiting too late! I'll try to do better next year.
