Saturday Critters ~ 157 ~

On a recent visit to my favorite birding spot,
Lake of the Lilies

I was so surprised to see a Great Blue Heron still hanging around.

Preening...

and really blending in with the background!
In fact the hubs spotted this one before I did, he was a tad excited.

I wonder if it plans on staying for the winter?

Hello Debbie!:) Lovely captures of the Heron, and beautiful photos,...love the colours. Americo often spots things before I do,...what would we do without them!:)

Thanks for the info, about your ice post. Have a nice weekend!:)

Hello Debbie, pretty shots of the Heron. If they can catch fish, they may still year round. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. Happy Christmas to you and your family!

It has been amazing to see all the different birds that didn't leave yet for the winter. It has been unseasonably warm; but now it is way cold. As always, I enjoy your bird photos. Hugs~
