Yarn Along

Last week I started another hat -

and much to my surprise - this week, I finished it.
A Cider Press Hat
it is the same cotton/cashmere blend yarn that I used for the Guernsey Wrap.

I can't express in words how much I love the pattern created
by this combination of knitting and purling.

When I learned how to knit, I made up my own cast on method -
- don't ask - know one knows...
but I have worked hard and I believe I have mastered the long tail cast on.
It's still a little sloppy but much better than what I was doing.

I am on to another hat, I'll share that one next week!

I am joining Ginny at Small Things for Yarn Along

Beautiful hat! And you must figure out a way to attach the snowflake like a button, just for the Christmas season. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Debbie and happy thanksgiving my friend! Looks like you got your pictures to work and I am glad! I hate it when the blogs glitch! LOL You asked if that doggie was an invited or un-invited guest at that wedding and no, he was not invited. It was a public park and there were kids and dogs and frisbees and balls zinging all over and around--much activity around the wedding. I try to be respectful when I see a wedding or something going on like that, but not everybody is and of course it is a public park so dogs will run and play and kids will yell and jump and be kids, and it's their park too so......, ha ha LOL. I guess when you marry in a public place you have to kind of expect that and just hope for the best. ??

your hat looks great and that is a nice pattern, I am not good at casting on myself, it gets a bit twisted :) My daughter was just saying today that she knitted one hat and it was a little small and then she just finished one yesterday and it was way too big, so she is hoping she can figure out this pattern and make it just right :)
