Cars and Crafts...

Saturday we went to Manasquan for a Craft Show.
Manasquan is another really cute, cozy little beach town with an amazing down town.
Each year they have a craft show in the center square,
and this year they added a car show, my favorite.

It may be hard for you to believe, but I enjoyed the cars more than the crafts.
True story, I'm sure the hubs did as well!!
I like the old cars best, but there were a lot of muscle cars as well.

This is the craft part...

there was live music...

and a clown for the little ones.

I took so many pictures of the cars, I narrowed it down...really I did.
These were my favorites.

I love, love, loved this truck, but it wasn't my favorite.
My favorite is coming.

The hubs had a Chevelle as a teen, this car was very similar.
Same color, different year.
He looked very hot driving it!

Now here's my favorite...deep purple,

a gorgeous paint job,

this engine,

and this interior.

This car was a beauty, good thing I wore the purple scarf!

I always enjoy the craft shows that you and Chuck go visit. I am with you, I like that purple car best too. There must have been a car show this weekend here in town as so many were going down our street. I would have enjoyed the car show more too.

Wow, people have worked really hard to restore those vehicles! I am OK with car shows--Larry enjoys them more than I do. I likes seeing the older muscle cars too. You got some great shots!

Love, love the cars. The paint jobs are awesome. Sure wish I still had my '55 chevy! :)

I remember Mom talking about the first car they had when she was young; can't remember the name something like Model T or Model T - anyway, she said they always put her in the rumble seat. LOL

Debbie, thanks for your comment on my 'Seeking Adventures' post. I'm well aware that you must face challenges getting out, and I think of it every time I read your blog. I'm amazed that you and your hubbie are always off to some place or other, and you have things set up at home to get those fabulous bird pictures. It's not the adventure we have, but the attitude of getting out there, whatever you do. And as we get older (like I feel), the adventures will change, but we'll keep going as long as we can. And special thanks to your hubbie; I can imagine he does a lot to make your adventures happen!

I think the cars are really cool but there would have to be some bad crafts for me to like the cars more, LOL! My hubby's first car when we were dating was a denim series Gremlin, his cousin sold it to him for a couple hundred and boy was it in bad shape, oh those were the days... It is so cool what they do with those cars and the one you liked did have some pretty paint job on it that's for sure, so nice and shiny, I would be scared to drive it to the show.

Oh, I did love your thoughts on this one. You find the best craft and car shows. I love car shows and especially the older ones. When I got my driving license, my parents let me drive a orange and black Packard. I was offered by friends to borrow it on Halloween. My hubby and I bought a green and light green 52 Chev when we were Seniors in High School. It cost $160.00 and we borrowed 60 dollars from my brother. When he came home from his mission I still had it. Later we had Volkswagons and once a 1964 Mustang that we wish we had kept. I do love that photo of you and the purple car; perfect. Blessings, love and hugs for you two.

Debbie,

I can't stop looking at the pictures of all those gorgeous older model cars. The pictures are very clear and absolutely wonderful. My favorite is the blue and white model. It looks just like the car that my grandparents had a long time ago. My grandpa would take me to the shopping center during the summer to get an ice cream in a similar car.
