Being Healthy...

feeling well!!
It's not as easy for someone living with Multiple Sclerosis.
It takes work, and a lot of it...
Often you do everything right, and your body still fails you.
You think you can "will" things to be better,
try harder and things will "be" better, it's just not so.

It's not all about a positive attitude...
it's all about dealing with a disease that does not care
how happy or positive you are.
Everyone who deals with this disease has a different story...
my story is my own.
And when the disease is at it's worst, I don't really want to share
the details of my story.
It's not pretty...and life is too pretty, to wonderful to focus on
anything else.

So while I was "sleeping"...

My Paperwhites opened up...and the fragrance is amazing.

The sunsets from home were gorgeous,

and did I mention the Paperwhites opened up??

Junior found the newly refurbished bird house,
and what a feast he had.
The hubs had oiled the pole but that slip & slide
only lasted a few hours.
Now re-seeding the birdhouse is back on my to-do-list.

On Monday the 26th, we got six inches of the beautiful white stuff...

and another cluster of Paperwhites opened up.

This was the view of my back yard yesterday.
It snowed for about 2 hours, huge, fluffy flakes, it was gorgeous,
and then it was gone.
And almost no accumulation, even better.

ohhhhh and I finished a few hats, a new work hat for the hubs.
He loves it, he earned it!!

and ohhhhh, ohhhhhh, I don't look like Cinderella,
but I'm getting there!!

Good Morning Debbie, I have kept you in my prayers and you have been on my mind. Thank you so much for letting us know how you are, I know it is hard for you to share your struggles but I appreciate it when you do.
I love all of your photos today, and of course, the paper whites. I am glad you are able to knit. I think it would be so nice to sit inside and watch the snow. Glad you are back.

You've got my heart, thoughts and prayers - all the live long day!! I know that it can be hard to surrender to the need for rest...but all your peeps understand! You would LOVE our world of white {except for the shoveling and the fact that there is literally no place for all the snow piles..} - I'll try to get more pics up soon!!

You know that I understand, first hand, about your struggles. This is an unfair MonSter who robs us of our normality. I know you're a private person, and you like to keep the struggle to yourself, so I'm behind you 100% Thanks for sharing and for showing us those gorgeous photos! BTW, I love paperwhites -- but not the snow!! Take care and be well!

Debbie, I surely hope you are having good days right now. No fun being so under the weather and out of it. We don't want that for you. I loved seeing your paperwhites. I can almost smell them as I type this. Those things, blooming in the dead of winter, is enough to put a smile on my face.

Good to find other things to focus on. Photography is good. Knitting, okay *wink*...My wife bought me fingerless knits to keep my hands warm. The arthritis hurts. Keeping the body heat in is wonderful. Consider them as gifts for your post-middle years friends ;O)

The paperwhites are beautiful, and so are the snow scenes! Looks like Junior really enjoyed the treat--even if he did have to practice his acrobatic skills to enjoy it. Praying and hoping you feel better, Debbie; it's no fun not to feel well!

I hope you feel better soon! I don't know what it's like, but I can wish you the best. Beautiful photos! We've had almost no snow from any of the recent storms save a few inches a week or so ago.

Hey Cind,
My paperweights were all green with just one itty bitty flower cluster each. But they smelled real nice.

Debbie, I think of you quite often and simply wish you the best. So glad you enjoy some snow - but we've had a foot or so on the ground since early January. The problem is not the snow, but the very cold temperatures this year.
