Snow Birds

Here are some pictures of just a few of the feathered friends
that came to visit during our snow storm!

Female Cardinal

Chickadee

Female House Finch

Male House Finch

Mr. Male Cardinal found a dry spot on the ground,
under my fading hydranges.
Staying warm and dry,
catching all the seed that was falling from the feeders.

Debbie, your photos are just beautiful! The cardinals are such amazing birds even in the dark brown of winter, they can bring color alive. I have started telling my friends about "Debbie's Birds"!

Gorgeous shots of some real beauties! I'm looking out at our snowfall, and I don't see one bird! Maybe they're hardier up on the coast!

They are so sweet, Debbie.
It's amazing how they seem to manage to be okay in even the worst weather.

These are fantastic shots and the birds are spectacular. That orange color is just beautiful.
Your photo's of the birds do bring me joy. We don't get many birds that are as colorful around here. We do have some wonderful geese across the street; and there is a story about them.
Blessings!

Pay no mind to Tex - she just likes to stir the pot. But, yeah, my cardinals look pretty lame. These are gorgeous shots! I love having snow for bird photography. Nice job!

My birds have really been hitting the feeders! I opened my window to get a better shot and about froze my tush off. It's cold out there!
Your shots are gorgeous and way better than mine. About the time I get focused, the darn bird takes off!

You mentioned Pinterest in your comment on my post. Yep, I pin! It's loads of fun, isn't it?

My favourite is the first one!!
I don't think she touches the geladas, but she has to get very close to use the locator device. It may set down the GPS, but I am not sure about that. She has never said what she is studying, precisely...

Those are amazing photos!
We don't get near the number of species of birds in our California backyard...even at my cousin's in the East last year, I noticed that the birds all showed up as soon as the snow fell.
