A Ride in the Car...

Around 4:15 last night I asked the hubs if he was hungry?
Yes, he said, I'll be done with this email in one minute and we can go.
Any hurry?
Oh no I replied, whenever your ready!!
Then the banter back and forth begins about where we will eat.
Neither of us ever cares...I always say "I can eat anywhere"!
Then Chuck names about five places he knows I don't want to go to.
This lasts at least five minutes...
and that sun is not getting any higher in the sky.

You see, now it's 4:30, the sun is setting and
I desperately want to go to the Marina,
to say good bye to the sun.

You understand, lure him from the house for dinner...
happen to notice the sunset as we drive toward the main road.
Then lightly suggest if we head toward the marina,
we might just get to see the sunset.

It worked...it always works
and you peeps will not be dissappointed...

Look at those beautiful colors!!

You have to snap quickly, the changes in the color don't last long!

This one was kinda cool...pick a piling, any piling,
then stand there, just like we practiced.

This was the last picture I took, before hopping in the car.

Most of the boats are out of the water and winterized,
my Jersey Girl is gone!

Some people live year round on their boats, those stay in the water.

i love your little gameplay - especially since it works. now the cat's out of the bag, however, and chuck will be on to you. ;)

Oh fabulous Debbie!

Striking sunsets Debbie -- it just occurred to me that you are one hour ahead of us and your sunset would occur earlier. I'll quit complaining about our long evenings now. :)

You're "sneaky" but boy am I glad you are. Wow these are stunning.
I loved seeing them.
I agree about snapping fast. One night I went out and took a photo of the pink clouds, went inside and decided I wanted another photo and when I walked back out the clouds were just gray and all the pretty pink color had disappeared.

Thank you for sharing the gift of this sunset with us. It's just breathtaking. I love the birds silhouetted against the sky.

I like your method of getting your husband out of the house in time for the sunset. :-) My hubs and I have similar conversations: Where do you want to eat? It doesn't matter. How about such and such? No I don't want to eat there! LOL

First of all...pick a piling, any piling - hahahaha! Such an amazing shot! These are all beautiful. I was hitting a LOW point when some of them popped up on FB last night - feeling very STUCK in my office until after the light is GONE...grrrrrrrrrr. Working on my attitude today. And living vicariously through you!

Oh you got some beautiful pictures! We like to eat at the Cabin. It is always the place we can all agree on, but it doesn't have pretty sunsets.

I have always been partial to sunrises rather than sunsets. These photos may have just made me a convert. Beautiful beyond the words I know.

I love the way you maneuver your sweet husband. I think women have this down quite well.
The pictures were beautiful, spectacular and just take my breath a way. What else can I say. I hope to visit your area sometime.
Blessings!
