A 2025 Cardboard Odessey

at the Art Spot on the Asbury Park Boardwalk.
The exhibition, small but impressive, features immersive cardboard creations
by Michael LaValle, also known as Porkchop.

Made exclusively with leftover cardboard from other works of art,
it is making an "Anti AI" statement.

This is a "new to me" 3-D mural on the boardwalk in Asbury that is spectacular.
Look closely, so you do not miss all of the artistry.
The mural is massive.

You can't visit Asbury Park, without a drive past the legendary Stone Pony...
there was rock music in the air.

We had dinner at Mr. Shrimp Seafood

They have the most amazing lighting...

and a grand sense of humor.

The hubs had Fried Shrimp...

and I had Lobster Franchise...it was divine.
One whole Lobster Tail, cut into 4 pieces...that probably came in on the boat that day.

The weather was warm and we had a great weekend!

Talk about creativity! I do not know how people come up with how to create things like that. I would like to go to Mr. Shrimp some day!

You folks are really artsy in NJ. Before your blog, I wasn't sure about NJ. Your flower and art tours, along with the yummy food make me want to visit, cuz KS is kinda boring. Linda

Be still, my heart at the seafood! In 47 days I am leaving for a four day vaca in Galveston....I am beyond excited! Amber is finding us a beach house and Ilene is going witrh us. I figured if we don't do a trip now - we may not have another opportunity. Louis Dean will not be getting better as the disease will continue to progress. I have to tell you how much I appreciate my 'armchair travels' with you and your beautiful photos to document the moments. Thank you! Love you, Debbie!
