We always pass these fabrics hanging outside this store on our way to the inlet.
The store owner changes them often.
We almost always catch the red light here and I am able to capture another picture that I don't really need.
But it is a tradition and landmark place.
The wood cutout of New Jersey painted to look like a flag is new.
I have never seen this fishing boat at the inlet before, most of the boats I know by name.
I googled St. Johns River Boat and too many boats came up.
Most of them dock in Florida, none of the pictures I saw looked like this one, lined with tires.
There are fireworks...lots of fireworks, every shore town has fireworks,
especially on the 4th of July.
Point Pleasant is only 10 minutes away, they have a show every Thursday night during the summer,
and also on Independence Day.
My town has outdoor concerts at our local beach and they set them off at the end of each concert.
Our local baseball team does also, after every home game.
There is no shortage of fireworks in the summer.
The hubs and I had a small kerfuffle about whether or not to go,
we went to Point Pleasant and really regretted it.
We usually just slide in, 5 minutes before show time, park in the big lot and watch from there.
You can't do that on 4th of July and no further details will be shared about that,
except that we did see them.
We had a little trouble with the water in the pool when we opened it this year.
It's crystal clear now, the water is 84 degrees and could not be better or more refreshing.
We play corn hole in the pool and I usually win.
If you read my blog frequently, you now I am quite competitive and like to win.
We played on Saturday and in the end, it was a tie. Sunday the hubs won, I'm not telling the score.
You have probably seen his world famous kabobs and potatoes before...
this meal = summer.
Mine kabob is not as colorful because I do not like green peppers so he leaves them off of mine.
When it is too hot outside, even with the pool, we have games we I like to play inside.
The hubs humors me, we play, and he is just happy to see me having fun, even if he is losing!
I am the queen of Racko, I never lose, and it's really hard to get anyone to play with me.
The hubs is king at Match Madness, I only won once!
- both of these games are so fun -
If you're looking for a great documentary watch "The Quilters" on Netflix, I really enjoyed it!

Wonderful post…a glimpse into your life in New Jersey. Love it!
You have a beautiful spot for your pool. This is the only house we have owned that doesn't have a pool. With this heat I am regretting that decision lol. I haven't played rack-o in years and years!!!
We play cards mostly canasta I won last time but husband wins a lot.
Great pictures as always.
