I have not been good about photographing my birds lately and because of that lack of interaction,
they seem to be more timid.
They are more anxious about my presence when I stand by the window.
I fill there feeders every day, I make sure the bird bath is clean and has fresh water.
The hubs scrubbed it yesterday and filled it with clean water.
They are well cared for!
A few days ago, the birds were very active at the feeders and I took just a few pictures.
Black Capped Chickadee
This is not the best picture but how stinkin cute is that face?!
This is a boy, they have more yellow, the girls have more blue.
I have 3 more chrysalis from the end of last summer that have yet to emerge.
I am not sure they will emerge at a later date but I will keep them safe, just in case.

You always have such outstanding photos. What a gift!
Hello Debbie,
Birdwatching is a joy, one of my simple pleasures.
I think you photos are wonderful, the birds are beautifully captured. The butterfly is lovely too. Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Beautiful pics, Jo... of the birds and butterflies. I think both female and male Swallowtails are beautiful, but the females with the blue are my favorite. Question: Do you see crows where you are?
no, not in my yard but i have seen them other places in the county!!
Hello Debbie,
What do you mean when you say, “I have not been good about photographing my birds”? – your photos are absolutely sensational! 🐦📸 Beautifully sharp close-ups of such gorgeous birds – and your Black Swallowtail butterfly is a real stunner! 🦋💛
