Destination Unknown...

It was a beautiful day, we carefully scanned the Bucket List,
took a picture of it with my phone because we were not quite sure where we wanted to go.
We hit the road and about 3 minutes from home we encountered a Car Show at our local firehouse.
I was all in, the hubs too...we love vintage cars.
This show was on the smaller side and I liked that,
picking a favorite and being able to see all of the cars was much easier.

Dan Smiths 1936 Ford Pick Up was my favorite.

Dan was a super nice guy and he restored this himself with a friend.

This truck was my second favorite.

We enjoyed seeing the Chevelle SS, there were several, the hubs had one when he was a teenager.

This Beach Buggy station wagon was fun.
Surfboard on top, shark coming out the window.

We both loved this car...a huge reminder of our teenage years.

The car evoked memories of fun times at the drive-in movies.

It was warm out, but very windy...

The hubs tried stealing some of the food!

I enjoyed the color of this car, but I usually like something bigger.

The color of the first car is so cool!!! Also, love the drive-in theater car. I'm working on a marketing event for work with a Drive-In movie theater theme. I'm going to take these ideas and use them in my designs.

The VW conversion fooled me until I saw the back engine. What a modification. Linda in Kansas

Those cars are fabulous ! i would have thought you guys are too young to remember the drive-in era ... those --movies and restaurants both--are sure part of that chapter of ours!

Love those surprises of the unexpected, and so close to home :). I thought of you when I saw there was going to be a car show in the next town over, we did not make it over there. I love the truck the best too. I didn't go to a drive in until I was a teenager.
