Saturday Critters ~ 225 ~

Tug of War

Hanging out in the water together...

everything was fine until it wasn't.

This washed up and the mood quickly changed.

Where exactly do you think you are going with that?

There's enough for both of us...

and the tug of war was on!

This went on for quite some time,

until the "catch of the day" split in two and everyone seemed happy again!

Hello Debbie, these are awesome shots of the gulls with their catch of the day. I like the tug of war capture. I am glad they could share the meal. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. I also appreciate your comment and visit. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Great photos, Debbie. Nature at her most elemental! The gulls look like velvet instead of feathers.

My wife and I will do that with the last slice of chocolate cake.

Because they are so common, it's easy to forget out gorgeous gulls are. Now if they didn't buzz you when you have a picnic on the beach...

Love your narratives! Who knew a piece of dead fish could be so enticing. Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh how neat to have got pictures of that, it is amazing how they don't care who caught it first they are going to try and get their share too, looks like one of them made out a little better than the other one did :)

LOL! That's awesome! Fantastic photos! Nothing quite like food to start an argument in the animal world.

Debbie, So funny...glad they can't squawk at the time, or it would have been a ruckus. Such good picture too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Such beautiful pictures you have captured, and what a funny event too! Reminds me of my chickens, who squawk and squawk when they find something interesting and then spend their time running around trying to keep it from everyone else... lol. You take amazing pictures! Happy to meet and visit with you today :)

Hello Debbie!:) Ha ha!:=) Great captures and narrative of this Tug of War. In the 7th image you can really see the one with the find, straining hard to keep his catch,:) but I'm glad it ended with both getting something to eat.
