The Orchids of Longwood Gardens

From the very unusual, to the simplest of beauties,
at any given time 200 - 300 of the 6,200 orchids are on display in Longwood Gardens.
The orchid handler hand picks and replaces the plants three times per week
to ensure a continuous beautiful, colorful and healthy display.

What a job...to be an "orchid handler"...yes please!

Wow! We just went to Thailand, and I wish my photos of the orchids we saw there were half as good as the ones you've shared with us.

Just beautiful, Debbie!
I especially love the oncidium (the purple one, and quite difficult to get to bloom), and the lady slipper.
xo.

They are just amazing, I love the ones with the frayed and scalloped edges, each one beautiful in it's own way and you have captured them wonderfully!
