Soon to be Momma Swan!!

I spent this entire past weekend outdoors,
as we had some gorgeous weather here at the Jersey Shore.
Running around outdoors always means lots of fresh air,
time with nature and lots of pictures.

We were driving around Lake Como and happened upon...

soon to be momma swan,

the hubs named her Sally,
Sally Swan
Didn't she pick a beautiful spot to build her nest!

We watched her fuss over the nest a little,

adding a few new pieces and smoothing things out...

then it was time for a nap, fussing over that nest was a lot of work.
I'm glad we arrived while she was awake.

We will go back, in hopes of getting a glimpse of the babies!

Some lovely images Debbie.
Hope you can get some image of the baby swans ...

When you think about it all mothers do fuss over their nests ... I know I did, whilst preparing for my new borns!

Enjoy your Wednesday

All the best Jan

Sally the Swan. I wonder where her hubby, George the Gander was?
Hoping you get pictures of the Cygnets. Little ugly ducklings that they appear to be. :-)

Yes! Please go back and tell me how many babies I have! :)

Oh man that is so neat. I've never seen a swan in the "wild" before nor a swan nest like that. We have swans in our city park Aviary but I think this would be more fun because they are in a more natural environment. Can't wait to see those babies!
