Saturday Critters ~ 307 ~

There are a lot of critters at 

The Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival.

A big part of the festivals mission is to promote the sheep and wool industry.

So often, when people see me knitting they mention that it is a dying art,
none of those people have ever been to a festival like this.
Fiber arts are alive and well, thriving in the world these days.

As much as I love yarn, the critters may be my favorite part of the show.

I asked this wee one and her mom if it was ok for me to take this picture,
both said yes!

I really like this illustration of "Wool - Farm to Fabric"
a great illustration of the process many people take for granted.

A Barn In West Virginia

I was cleaning up the pictures on my computer yesterday, 

- that is such an overwhelming task isn't it -

and I came across some pictures of the barn my niece was married in.

Of course I took pictures of the usual suspects at the wedding, her wedding pictures are here,

but I wandered around just a little and found some interesting elements of the barn itself, 

worthy of sharing here. 

There were a few horses, not many...and they were definitely not interested in me.

These are pictures of the countryside in West Virginia...

I don't think I have ever been here and the landscape was beautiful!
