This was not the post I had planned for today...
Yesterday morning we went down to the inlet...
to watch the boats...
and enjoy donuts and frozen coffee drinks from Dunkin Donuts.
These are made right after you order,
right before your eyes, and they are still hot when you receive them.
My attention quickly turned to the sight of our Local News 12 New Jersey reporter,
walking along the inlet.
If you have ever spent any time in person with me...
"and you know, then you know...if you don't, then you don't"
I will talk to anyone and tell them my entire life story.
I struck up a conversation with these "superstars" and wanted to make it on the news.
They were covering a story I knew nothing about,
so as nice as they were, they were not interested in filming me.
I tried...
I told them I watch them every night on television, that was true, I was born here, that was true...
I even tried to tell them about my blog, even the title but they didn't bite!
Across the inlet, in Manasquan, it appeared they were holding a graduation ceremony.
This was such a fun day, if you know me, you get it!

OMG those donuts. I think I started drooling over the picture. That looked so good.
Darn, too bad you couldn't convince them to put you on tv. I think she should have at least interviewed you on camera and saved it for a later time.
Fun place for a graduation.
The doughnuts!!! I am simply dumbfounded that thee reporters did not take the hints! ;)
As someone who has been craving donuts..... those look divine. What a fun day! I am also someone who will talk to ANYONE! LOL!
You certainly had. Fun day, Debbie, even if you couldn’t convince those news folks to include you in a broadcast, their loss.
How exciting! Too bad you couldn't sneak into the background! heehee! Thanks so much for being my special friend this past year. What a difference you've made in my life. I would do your story! heehee! Hugs!
This made me smile. I love how you turned a simple morning outing into a fun little adventure. The donuts, the boats, and your attempt to get on the news made it a memorable day. Never lose that fun personality.
My goodness you tried! LOL! But what a great day :)
All the best Jan
First the donuts looked so good! Second...I would have done the same thing. You gave it a good try. I often "pitch" my ideas or events to the local - radio, news, etc. - I was on T.V. interview only once.
Sounds like a fun day Debbie! The donuts look yummy!
Have a happy weekend.
Sorry to hear that, Debbie! You would have been a great interviewee! It looks like a wonderful day, though.
At least you tried. :) Oh my those donuts.
How fun, it is neat meeting someone that you have in your home every day, that could have had an interesting story on their hands ;) That would be a neat place to hold a graduation, great day!
