Saturday Critters #624

Standing at the open office window, I see the backyard has been overcome with

American Robin
A very recognizable, fairly large songbird with a rust colored chest, long legs and a long tail.
Reports and books say the American Robin is a migratory bird but they visit my feeders year round.
They are the largest North American Thrush.

Female House Finches
Small bodied, adaptable and cheery, the finches are comom from coast to coast.
They are active during the day, feeding mainly on seeds and fruit,
often on the ground or at feeders.

Make House Finch
Males and females are similar with the exception of the males brightly colored red heads.
They are social and gregarious birds that often congregate in large groups as large as 100 birds.
