Saturday Critters #614

I did not have any critters to share today...
so yesterday the hubs took me out for a drive, to all our usual spots, so I had something to share today.

First up...
Lake of the Lilies

where I saw one Egret,

and a boatload of Turtles.
I was surprised to see them this time of year, but it was a very warm and sunny day.

The Mute Swans are still here, I estimate we saw about 50 spread across the lake.

I visit often and they never shy off or fly away.
I have read many times that Swawn have an excellent memory, and I believe they do.

I was so close to this Swan and there was nothing but trust between us.

Next stop was...
 Spring Lake

I saw three Turtles, one in plain view and two that were a little more difficult to photograph.

There was only one Egret.

I saw a lot of Mallards, they were all napping!
The hubs commented that he should be napping too!

Stretching...she showed off her colors.

Sharing today's images with Eileen at

What a sweet and thoughtful thing for your husband to do for you! It's so lovely that you were able to get out and find some critters to share. Those turtles on the log are so cute, and it's amazing that you have mute swans that trust you so much. It sounds like you had a really nice day.

Hello,
I would love to see all those swans. Your egret images are lovely.
The turtles are a favorite too, they seem to come out when the sun is shining. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Love your line that says: there was nothing but trust between us! Very poignant, poetic and true on so many levels.
