Leading up to this game, the excitement for me was simply overwhelming.
The KC Chiefs vs The New York Giants at Metlife Stadium only one hour from home.
The hubs purchased 2 tickets as my birthday gift and the wait was on.
If you follow me here, you know the Chiefs are my team, not really as much because they are awesome,
it's more about the quarterback, Patrick Mahomes and his story.
He's a true athlete, excels at all sports, married his high school sweetheart and he is such a gentleman.
Humble and kind both on and off the field.
I have never been to a live professional football game before now...
Believe me when I say, I was not the only one there with a red jersey,
so many Chiefs fans came out to support their team.
There was a group of people sitting in front of me that all flew in from Kansas City.
It was a very lively group and I wondered if they may have been some of the players wives.
They sure dressed the part.
The opening ceremony was very nice, this was the largest flag I have ever seen.
Chicken wings in the first half and meatballs in the second half.
Of course they also had a huge variety of snacks and food you could buy!
We were both so happy...
it was a beautiful day/night, the sky was clear and the temperatures were in the 60's.
We could not have asked for a better day or better weather.
I must say that everyone we encountered was so nice, so helpful.
The stadium was so well staffed, we could not walk 10 feet without someone asking us if we needed help.
I took hundreds of pictures and had the time of my life...there was a really beautiful half time show,
perhaps I will share that tomorrow!
ps...I almost forgot to say we won, 22 - 9.
- Go Chiefs -

Hello Debbie,
You both do look very happy. I am glad you were able to go to the game with the Chiefs! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
I'm so happy for you! I was so excited knowing you were excited :) Glad they won for you too!
You look like you had a great time!!! And they won on top of it. They are struggling this year. Travis needs to calm down.
Of course, we are patriots' fans and they lost sadly.
Cathy
I thought about you as I watched the game on TV. I live in the St. Louis area so we get the Chiefs games. It was a good game, even if frustrating at times, and you had wonderful seats. What a treat!
I can see on the photos you enjoyed this game. Have a nice day !
