Pudderings

"pudder" to do things in a relaxed way, without rushing or trying very hard.
"She enjoys puttering around her home"
yep, that's me right now, I am puttering around the house.
For those who have asked, I am feeling better...
I have several broken ribs that are healing nicely, but they hurt much more than my wrist.
I have learned to type and text with one hand, and I'm getting pretty good at it.

I made this "Bucket List" prior to the accident.
I have 2 things crossed off, I am not sure I will cross off many more.
I can do some of these but I am not real fond of driving in a car just yet.

Halloween Candy
* check *

The front porch is decorated for fall, many thanks to Chuck's sister for getting the mums
and to the hubs for putting things out.
My pumpkins are artificial, from Michaels,
we have used these pumpkins, for more than 10 years I'll bet, and they have held up wonderfully.

My flag to greet my ghosts and goblins.

I have so much Basil, I decided to cut some back, dry it and share it with friends and family.

My annual Rhinebeck girls weekend was this past weekend
and of course I missed it.
Several of my fiber friends brought back a few surprises for me...
Liz picked up the Holiday Ornament kit,
she knew I would love it and I do.
The Shallot Cookies are delicious, shortbread with dried shallots from her mom Dee.
One of the girls works at the Pentagon, she brought everyone a mug.

- two things you are in total control of in life, your attitude and your effort -

Debbie, my trug garden is having a hard time. The tomatoes aren't tomato-ing, and the green peppers have 3 tiny green peppers, but they don't seem to be getting any larger. The lettuce we just planted and the only thing that is doing well is the basil. I may dry some and save or give to friends also.

And I've never heard of shallot cookies...

also... understand about not being fond of being in a car yet. Time may help.

I know what you mean about not to thrilled about getting back in your car after your accident. A few years ago when we went down to Mississippi, we were side swiped by a semi and those things that spin on the wheels in the front, totally shredded our drivers side of our car, it was still drivable and so we continued on our vacation and when we got back it was totaled by our insurance company. I was forced to get back inside the car since it was our only way home but it was very hard to enjoy the couple days we stayed down there. Neither of us were injured so that made it much easier on us but just know that it will get easier.
You do look ready for your trick or treaters and nice you had help with your decorations, I have had our pumpkin from Michaels for quite a few years too but I have it displayed inside the house.
So sweet of your friends to have brought you back some goodies, sorry you missed the weekend with the girls.
