A Joy Filled Car Ride

I had an outing on Tuesday, and it was so exciting!
A ride in the car to Lake of the Lilies, The Ocean and the Inlet...
- fresh air -
I saw the Male & Female Wood Ducks, at Lake of the Lilies, I am saving the pictures for Saturday,
just in case I don't have anything else for Saturday Critters.

I found these Christmas Trees at the beach.
Both made of shells, markers were there encouraging people to leave messages on the shells.

There were pretty, colorful lights woven in to this snow fence.

All of the shells had kind messages on them.

At the inlet, I saw that our lock is still there.
Just to the left of the second "P", at the top, ours is the purple one.
I took a close up picture, but it was all blurry.

I realized that if you open your window, the Seagulls swarm your car.
I guess they think food is coming out of the open window.

Access to all of the beaches we visit is blocked off.
They are once again refurbishing the beaches dredging the ocean to restore the
"mean high water line" and "eroded portions of the beach".

Wonderful to see all the sea shells used to decorate and I could have guessed your lock was purple:)

I love the artsy stone tree idea! I especially like the "Happy Birthday, Jesus" stone in the third picture. That makes me laugh! It is good to laugh. It's been a crazy few days. Thanks for the trees. 🙂

The seashells are a great idea and look so neat. Love the locks too. What a nice day to get out. We'll be out for a hike this afternoon...God willing and the creek don't rise! haha! Every day we get up and feel blessed to have nature at our backdoor to enjoy!

So glad you were able to get out for a drive, those shell trees are so neat, haven't seen anything like it and that is so cool that they let you write a message on them :) Good to see your lock is still there.
Yes it is amazing how much those seagulls can tell, I guess it is their stomachs that guide them!

That looks like such a great drive; happy you can get out. I loved all the sea shells and people writing messages on them. I think the lock on the gate are awesome and I think it is cute that you have one there. Just getting some fresh air would be good. Our air is in an inversion.
I have missed reading your post. My husband was admitted to the hospital Monday night. He was having Covid like symptoms, but the test was negative. However, his WBC was high so they kept him and ended up he had Bronchial Pneumonia and got discharged home yesterday. He is improving on Antibiotics. Now, I have the problem of keeping him down and resting enough. I think I will be like a Nazi Nurse. I'm just happy it wasn't Covid.
Sending loving thoughts and hugs your way!

Those shell Christmas trees are such a good idea, especially for someone living near the water.

A beach this time of year would be so nice. Our weather has been miserable I’ve been in all week.

What a great way to do a Christmas tree. Love them.

Love the Christmas trees and the shells with messages! That's a cool idea! The gull looks a bit disappointed in your lack of hand-outs. LOL!
