Horn Blower - Niagara

The gardens around Niagara Falls are breathtaking,
because of my love for flowers, I found them to be almost as beautiful as the falls.
A lot of red and white, Canada's colors, they were well designed and well kept.
After MarineLand, the Horn Blower was next, we needed "cooling off",
and we were excited to get wet!

My handsome man...

A sail upon the Hornblower gives you an upclose and awe-inspiring look at
The American Falls, The Bridal Veil Falls and The Horseshoe Falls.
What an experience to feel the amazing "mist" and to hear the thundering roar.
We got soaked, even with those red poncho's they give you, and it felt great!

You get really close and the camera gets really wet.

We have experienced this ride several times in the past and it never gets old.

Can you see the bird, dead center of this picture?
What a view he had of the falls.

That has to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!

No other word does it justice.

Wow, that bird would seem to not bother about noise. -grin- But then, if he was born there, it's how he thinks everywhere sounds! :-)

How wonderful! And, yes those flowers are gorgeous. I'm wondering if some are canna lilies.

I've never been although our parents enjoyed the falls. They really are lovely. :)

Talking with my husband about your post, I remembered the US side's boat was called "The Maid Of The Mist." Btw, he lived in that area for years, so he remembers there, although that was "back at the beginning of time." :-)

Anyway, I remembered that you were on the Canadian side! So maybe "the Hornblower" is the Canadian boat. And maybe, "The Maid Of The Mist" is still on the US side?!?

We do really like the name, "The Maid Of The Mist" better. ,-))))))

Just had to come back, and say what we remembered! :-)))

Hello, I love these photos Debbie. Those boats get kind of close to the spray of water from the falls. We did the boat trip and wore the blue raingear. If you do not mind me copying your photo, I was going to try to see what the bird is? Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!

What fun! I remember the boats being called Maids of the Mist and went there with my sister and niece many years ago. That looks like a replica of an old sailing vessel. Great photos Debbie!

This is the most awesome adventure at Niagara Falls, I think.
Well, maybe going down in the elevator, out to the base of the Falls topped it, but..........I just love everything about Niagara Falls.

We have never gone to the Canada side of the Falls and it looks like it is much prettier than our side. I bet it is something else to go on that boat ride, how fun! Great shot of the bird just sitting there taking it all in. Glad you had a wonderful trip!

The birdie in your last photo really had "a bird's eye view" .... lol, coffee time here so didn't have a chance to scroll through previous comments to check that hadn't already been said heh heh. Cheers now xx
