Paddling Down The Mystic

If you follow my blog, you know I have dreamed of kayaking forever.
While we were in Mystic, Connecticut I finally took the "plunge".
Well, I didn't "plunge"...I floated and paddled...
it was indeed fun, I didn't fall in but it was a bit harder than I thought it would be.

There I am...

I loved my kayak, I picked that color as they did not have purple.

Relaxing at times, I think next time...there will be a next time,
I should pick a lake less traveled.
There were a lot of boats and a bit of a current,
I was under the Mystic Bridge for about 10 minutes.
And I am confident
that there are more than a few boaters still talking about that girl in the orange kayak.
I kept yelling out "first timer here"...
the hubs said that was not necessary, that they already knew...hehehe

Here I am, back safe and sound giving the two thumbs up,

to all that were cheering me on.

We rented our kayaks at Paddle the Mystic River the guys here are awesome!!
If you are ever in the area and would like to give it a try,
this is the go to place in Mystic.

Oh so glad you tried something new, I am so afraid to do stuff like that, not very coordinated anymore. Hubby just bought one and he says he loves it!

Good for you! Love the color you chose! I have a kayak and once you get the hang of it (which usually doesn't take too long) it's a lot of fun!
