You Have Wings...

shouldn't you have flown south by now!!
I can see you are thinking about it...

but so far, you are still here...

I thought when the water in the bird bath froze,
you would make your way south.

But someone went out and "defrosted" it...
and so far, it's a no go for the Robins!!
Lots, still hanging around!

Wow! Unusual sight for this time of year. I have seen them return early but never go south late.

I think even the birds were surprised by this early-onset winter. Stunningly beautiful shots. I enjoyed them so much!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who 'talks' to 'my' birds.

Sweet shots.

they're precious! i love hearing them (we only get them migrating through). they remind me of home (wisconsin's state bird). anyway, there's been a couple going thru here the past 2 weeks, so some have headed south. :)

Neat shots of the robin, Debbie. Believe it or not, I sometimes see robins on the northern shore of Lake Ontario as late as January. Why they hang around so long is a mystery to me.

Hmmmm.....wonder if they are trying to tell you something. They love life in your yard is the reason I am sure :) Great shots Debbie, the lighting is perfect on this pretty bird.

I used to read the birding column, when I got the Saturday paper, and there were always a few robins who stayed the winter!! I have no idea why! I love the way you have captured the red breast on this guy!!

Fun shots. I have had Robins here at Christmas time.I have no idea what they eat or how they survive but they do.

They seem to be content, even this late in the year.

So pretty, and they don't look anxious at all about hanging out at your house. :-) I think they like the environment.

Isn't that strange but wonderful. I saw a Robin here the other day too.

Just beautiful captured pictures of this Robin. I think with all the weather changes the birds are getting a bit confused.
Blessings!

Beautiful light! I just saw some robins out back a while ago. I think some of ours hang around all winter.
