Road Trip!!

A few weeks back, we went to see our oldest son Scott in Connecticut.

Before all this heat,

when an adventure still sounded like a good idea!!

I had so much fun and found some good stuff to share.

about 2 miles from Scott's house!!
He had never been here,
he did not even get out of the car as I flew out, camera in hand.
But that could have been embarrassment!!

How could you not LOVE this place??

A Garden Center...

loaded with flowers,

speciality foods,

more flowers,

fresh veggies,

and super fresh fruit!!

They had such cute and whimsical garden ornaments,

lovely shrubs,

and the Hummingbirds and Butterflies had their own spot.

And I just about wet my pants when I found this out back!!
But just in case you ever visit,
your not allowed to sit on this for a picture.

A Fan Favorite

This pretty young female cardinal has been hanging around the yard,

this is her favorite tree.
Isn't that cute, that she has a favorite tree!!

Her tail is almost always fanned out.

I think this is a young bird, because her beak isn't orange,

I'm not sure why I think that!!

She's so cute and fluffy,

it's difficult to see how tiny she is but she is t.i.n.y.

and poor baby, she always looks so hot,
I wish she would find the bird bath!!
