Country Roads

I like riding on the back roads, even better are country roads that are new to us.

Our ride to... 
Frozen In Ice 
was a fun one, on roads we don't normally travel.
There were a lot of barns in the area,
we stopped to photograph 3 that I thought were exceptionally unique.

I like the Quilt Barns, I'm sure there were a lot more that I missed.
It's difficult to knit and take in the sights and I'm not sure which I love more!

- Outlander Cowl -

and the finish line is very close, with 3 rows of lace and the edging left to go.
To say that I am excited would be an understatement.

There are two distinct parts of this cowl, this beautiful lace part...

and this gorgeous woven looking part.

This is only the second "grown up" piece I have ever knitted for myself.

And believe me when I say, I would not part with this if you held a gun to my head

this has taken me forever!!
