In 2013 we went to see the Thanksgiving Day Parade in NY City live.
We stayed in the Midtown Hilton, the hotel had a parade viewing area out in front,
so we had an amazing view.
It was a wonderful experience that I wrote about here.
This year Mike, the hubs and I watched it on television, and I will say
it was a lot warmer and quite enjoyable.
I took a few pictures to share here, just in case you missed it.
Everything was so colorful...I seem to like the floats better than the balloons.
I hope to get back one day to see it live!

I think my days of in-person parades (at least cold weather ones) are a thing of the past. I enjoyed watching the parade on TV too!
I missed the parade all together this year, but I really enjoyed seeing your photos. Thanks.
I missed the parade on TV also... too busy with kids, grandkids, and cooking. But love seeing your pics! Thanks, Debbie. And in general, I prefer seeing it all on TV - as crowds are definitely not my thing.
My sister is wanting to visit New York City with her daughter. I prefer to stick to wide open spaces...not much for crowds. I missed the parade this year. Thanks for sharing pics.
Looks like fun, I was especially happy to see the anti-war protestors show up, power to the people and more of this please.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Hello,
Great photos of the parade! I was watching off and on while I was preparing dinner. Take care, have a great day!
It must have been exciting to be there to see one of the parades, Debbie.
I think it was a good year to stay home and watch it on TV, it looked absolutely miserable out there this year!
Looks a wonderful parade, so colourful.
All the best Jan

I missed some of these while getting dinner ready, I am not much for big cities, we went to New York when we were stationed there at McGuire AFB and it was ok but I much rather go to a park and see the wildlife :)
