Rural Thursday Blog Hop

Today, let's talk food!!
If you follow my blog, you know I Don't Love To Cook!

However when either of my boys come home,
I really enjoy cooking for them.
Mike and Alisa were coming Saturday,
the cooking and baking began on Friday.

First, there was Pasta Salad

Here are all the ingredients.
There were big plans to take step by step pictures,
But I forgot and now you don't even get to see the finished product.
It was made with fresh dill and it was yummy!

There is no picture of the yummy potato salad either,
when this girl gets going...well, truthfully, I forgot!

I made these cute little Bruschetta cups,
with sour cream in the bowl,

there were plenty of extras to refill the flip flop.

I made veggies in dip, in cute little bread bowls.

Cheese and Crackers
I didn't make the crackers  ;))

Deviled Eggs with Bacon
I sprinkled them with fresh bacon crisp crumbles,
just before I served them.

And Shrimp Cocktail, Mike's favorite!
No photo!!

The local corn on the cob, was sweet and delicious!

We made hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill.

I baked cupcakes for desert but again, no pictures!

The hubs took this picture of the inside of the frig.
The pasta salad is behind the cheese & crackers,
the potato salad is to the left of that,
just so you know I really made them.

The frig is usually filled with dogie bags
from our favorite restaurants!!
It's always shocking to see it filled with real food.

Aren't you a good mama!! The bread bowl dip and veggies looks good, I'll be trying that one! The Bruschetta cups looks like too much work for me...I'm a lazy cook! But they do look yummy. Wow, it sounds like you had a lot of good food. Next time, invite me!! :)

Ummm...Yummy! And I think that flip flop serving dish is the cutest thing ever! (is it bad that THAT is my take-away from all your loving hard work!) If it's orderable (the flip flop dish...not your food...don't worry, I know you don't do take out!) can you tell me where you got it...My daughter would love one!

Yummm! Everything looks delicious and oh, so neatly arranged. And, what about that fridge, so neat, clean and not a single leftover bowl in the way! I would never allow you to look inside ours, my friend.
