This is our first Saturday Critters for the New Year.
Many thanks to our gracious host Eileen, who has been at it a long time,
368 times as a matter of fact!
I forgot it was Saturday until I asked the hubs 3 times, he will say I asked 5, and he might be right.
I had these pictures of a Mockingbird I took on December 19th...
I don't usually share pictures of the birds on the feeders, I prefer photographing them in the trees.
But, I happen to be hanging out the window, camera pointed at the tree,
when this brazen Mockingbird landed on and ate from the suet right beside me and would not fly off.
Such an unusual event and with such a beautiful bird,
I turned the camera on it and thought it would fly right off.
It didn't.
I was only about 8 feet away from this beautiful Mockingbird when I took these pictures.
