Watch Hill, Rhode Island

If you ever travel to the New England area of the U.S., be sure and add
Watch Hill, Rhode Island
to the list of seashore communities you do not want to miss.
15 minutes north of Mystic, Connecticut, it is an adorable coastal village in the town of Westerly,
that sits at the most south western point in all of Rhode Island.
It has awesome shops,
you may remember Gramma's Gelato shop that I showed you here.

It is home to
The Watch Hill Merry Go Round
Built by The Charles Dare Company of NYC in 1867 and brought to Watch Hill in1883,
it is the only continuously operating and surviving flying horse
Merry-Go-Round in the country.

Who wants to go for a ride??

What a beautiful part of the world. I love the signs outside the shops. I love how they are all the same. Gorgeous merry-go-round. I have always adored the dancing horses that go round and round. Lovely photos, Debbie.
