Gardening...

the fine art of soul to soil!
Does your soul hang out in the garden?
Given the chance to clean or plant, would you plant?
I would...although my tolerance for the heat is dwindling.
The thought of planting a little tiny seed and watching it grow excites me.
Even more, the thought that I can eat what the seed produces.
My vegetable garden is beautiful, it is happy and healthy...
it is everything I hoped it would be.

Here is the big picture...

Cucumbers

Tomato

Eggplant

There are 2 coming

Tomato

Tomato
We have a lot of tomatoes coming, I will have plenty to share with friends and family.

We have picked 2 Cucumbers...

that have turned into this.
Diced cucumbers, fresh tomatoes with honey poppy seed dressing,
it's amazing and so fresh when you pick it then eat it.

And although "I" started the garden in the house, with seeds,
the hubs has been watering it every day.
We are a good team.
I really enjoy starting with seeds over plants from the Garden Center,
I find it to be much more rewarding.

It looks great! The eggplant is gorgeous, and wow, you have cucumbers already. As soon as ours are ready, I'm making that cucumber and tomato salad.

So awesome, Debbie. Yes, you two are a really good team. I don't plant, but you make me want to.

Our mom used to have huge vegetable gardens in our backyard; we got to pull weeds. LOL

hello dynnamae, i have no other way to communicate with you, other than right here. i hope you come back and read this. many, many thanks for your kind comment, i am so happy to have inspired you to grow a container garden. it is such a fun way to garden and i find it to be so manageable. especially if you have a "waterer helper"...and he's cute ;)

and when i look out the window, i think our garden looks beautiful!! maybe not as pretty as flowers but i have plenty of those all over the yard. i hope you have a successful season and many more awesome seasons to come!!!

Debbie, your garden looks WONDERFUL!
Next year, I think it's container gardening for me, and I'll be crossing my fingers that the deer don't like the containers! :-)

It is all looking good, we have a couple of green peppers that are coming along good, but nothing with tomatoes and green beans yet. We just waited too long and planted them outside, but we will have them soon enough :)

I love that you grow veggies in containers, Debbie! I need to try that next year! The eggplant is so pretty and harvesting fresh cucumbers for salad sounds wonderful. It's such a thrill to see those veggies getting ripe, I'm sure! It looks pretty, too! x K

Oh, your garden is so beautiful. I didn't do so hot this year due to be so busy. Maybe next year I will try just planting the seeds like you do. You are an inspiration to me. Blessings and hugs~
