Was Yesterday The Super Bowl??

I am not a huge fan of football.
If I did not have a Facebook,
I might not have known the game was yesterday.
Sheeeeeezzz, people sure do get fired up about a pigskin on Facebook!!

Well, the Giants won!! Since I live in New Jersey,
I think that's my home team!!

Chuck and I put the game on around 6:45 p.m.,
we were busy doing "stuff" but we were listening!!

Then we went outside to try the Night Sky App on my IPhone.
The sky was crystal clear.
Once the App is engaged, you hold the phone up to the sky
and it identifies all the beautiful stars and planets.
It also plays some kind of cool "sky tune"!!
It's a great App for 99 cents!!

Next, it was time for Pizza Dip, the recipe is at the end on this entry.
If your gonna listen watch the game, you must have the right food!!

First it looked like this...

Your cheeses are your "crust",

then you spread pizza sauce on top of the cheeses.

Cheese, cheese and more cheese!!

Your favorite pizza toppings!!

After baking...

my serving style, 2 bread sticks each!!

Dunk your bread sticks in and enjoy!!

For those who may be interested, here's the details:

Ingredients
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella, grated
  • 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded/grated
  • 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 2 ounces pepperoni, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green pepper, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons black olives, sliced

Directions
  1. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream mayonnaise, mozzarella and parmigiano reggiano and spread it across the bottom of a pie plate.
  2. Spread the pizza sauce on top and sprinkle on the cheese, pepperoni, green pepper and olives.
  3. Bake in a preheated 350F oven until the cheese has melted, bubbling and golden brown, about 20 minutes.

Unless the Packers are playing, I only watch for the commercials. Hopefully next year I will get to pay more attention to the game. GO PACK GO!!!

The ending was sad for us, but it was a good, close game. That I enjoyed! The commercials had some great ones this year, some losers too, but the good were enough better than the bad that you forget the bad and remember the really good ones were really good!

The app sounds interesting, but any time I've tried to use anyone's smart phone, because they tell me, "ya gotta see this app," it does things I don't tell it to, which means it thinks it's smarter than me. I'm not ready for a phone with an attitude. :)

The dip looks great! I'm thinking you could dip bell pepper sticks in it too? Great party idea! I may try that for our next games night!

Oh so very good, now I was hungry.
The dinner is at my desk, I'm just waiting for my husband and my children come home.

Have a nice day, Marit, Norway.

Oh yum, My husband does the same thing with that app. I get up to take the dog out so I always notice the time so I can tell him what star I saw and in what direction. It is so nice to have that thing. We have identified so many stars we never knew before.

That looks really yummy. I am going to have to ry it.
I am so happy that the Giants won again. I am a Manning fan big time. I love them both.
My favorite are the Pittsburgh Steelers, but since they did not go to the Super Bowl then I am all for the Giants. Great job to beat the Patriots. I was a very happy girl.
The app sounds really fun to download. Maybe I will have hubby do that tonight.
