Playing With A Blue Jay!!!!!

This blue jay was a riot as he "played & posed" for me today. He seriously saw me hanging out the window, not five feet away from him, and he still did this................

I'm here for dinner.....
Do you think this is my best side?!?!?

How about this.....do you like this better?!?!?

I can pretend I am uninterested in those peanuts you put out!!!!!

Thank You God for this beautiful woman.......
who feeds me every single day!!!!!

Do you like the slight tilt of the head?!?!

Are you seriously still here?!?!?

This is what I came for.....
this photo shoot is ooooover!!!!!!

ooooohhhhhh great.........
look who showed up, now I gotta wait AND share!!!!!

These pictures were taken over the course of about 5 minutes. He never touched the peanuts. If you look at the pattern of the peanuts on the deck rail you will see the pattern never changed!!!!

My pleasure, Debbie! And thanks to your quick response for a change, now I’m posting a comment to you.

I’ve never seen Blue Jays in person, it’s so nice to see them even through photos. It’s amazing that they posed for you and could wait foods in return. Seeing this lovely post was a nice way to start a rainy Sunday here. All’s well.

These are great pictures! I love the dialogue you gave him. All that "posing" and he didn't touch the peanuts.
Did he eat them after the photo shoot?

thank you all....i have such a sweet little following of blogger friends.

dianna...he did eat the peanuts after he was done showing off, but the squirrel showed up so he had to share.

he was really good about it. i was surprised he was not more aggressive.

Beautiful shots. I love the details on his feathers with the different colors. I don't think I've ever studied a blue jay that closely before.

Hi Debbie, your photos are just gorgeous. What a poser that delightful Blue Jay is!
I've never seen one of these birds and am really taken with its pretty colour and distinct markings.
I had a real chuckle at your commentary. Lovely :D)
