Is It Too Late For Christmas Pictures...

ohhhh good, I did not think so!!

Lets start with the family photo...
this family room fireplace is usually gorgeous for Christmas,
I never found time to decorate this year!!

We had a "Fun-Old-Fashioned Griswold Christmas"

Mike (my pharmacist), Me, Chuck, (maybe you recognise us)
and Scott (a computer software engineer,
I don't really know what that means)
but it's helpful to have both these professions in your family!!

There were gifts under the ornament tree,
but more importantly there was an abundance of love in the house!!

This is me, rockin Wii...
We I LOVE Wii and my boys humor me.
I think I beat both my sons here AND set a record!!

My oldest son Scott had a very special gift for me...
click on his giutar if you would like to hear it!!

Gorgeous right?!
He plays as though the guitar is an extension of his arm,
effortless and beautiful!!

I got the very necessary IPhone 1 week before Christmas.
My previous phone had been held together with "glue dots" for about a year!!

My younger son Mike got me a cover for it,
purple, flowers and a butterfly, is there anything this cover is missing??
I am surprised it doesn't say "Made For Debbie"!!

The boys stayed the entire weekend. We all woke up together on
Christmas morning and that was the best gift ever!!

We won't talk about Chuck playing Wii Bowling,
and the "accident" that interrupted a very exciting game!!
Glass everywhere, juice everywhere,
looking at my camera floating in the liquid and the one shard of glass
that remains "in" the t.v. forever!!

Nope...not going to talk about that!!

Christmas on the Potomac, Part 6

o.k....lets' face it, as wonderful as this trip was,
it's time to wrap this gig up!!

This post will contain all the crap beautiful photo's that did not make it in
to all the prior posts!!

Get ready, it's going to be a long one!!

The Awakening
On February 8, 2008, this statue was dismantled and moved to the
National Harbor Resort on the Potomac River in Maryland.

The statue consists of five separate aluminum pieces
buried in the ground, giving the impression of a distressed giant
attempting to free himself from the ground.

The left hand and right foot barely protrude, while the bent left leg and knee jut into the air.

The bearded face, with the mouth in mid-scream,

struggles to emerge from the earth.

I do believe that Chuck will grow up....some day.

Chuck and I relaxing
with the National Harbor in the background.

We take all these pictures ourselves.
Always looking for a structure, to place the camera on.
It's so much better then smiling at strangers!!

I think these benches follow me wherever I go...

and a purple wreath, are you kidding me,
someone knew I was coming!!

We had the best time ever!!

Christmas on the Potomac, Part 5

I keep looking at all the pictures we took during this trip,
wondering if I will ever finish this series!!

This is one of the most exciting trips we take each year at
Christmas time.

In Maryland, this is only a 3 hour drive from home!!

The Nativity Scene is made entirely of Ice,
presented at the end of the Merry Madagascar Ice Display!!

This is amazingly beautiful!!

For those who might be interested,
this display runs through January 8, 2012.
More details about the event can be viewed here.

Christmas on the Potomac, Part 4

The adventure continues...

Welcome to ICE!!
A 15,000 square foot indoor wonderland created entirely of
2 million pounds of ice.

DreamWorks Merry Madagascar

North and south polers meet for a rumble in the jungle.

Chuck and I meet for our rumble in the jungle.

Poor Santa...

after his crash landing on the island of Madagascar.

Santa's holiday on Madagascar,
with Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman,

means no gifts will be delivered.

But even the mischievous lemur King Julien learns the true meaning of the holiday
and manages to get himself off the "naughty list" once and for all.

Me sliding...

Chuck sliding!!

No rest for the Zoosters,

until every gift is delivered!!

Lots of gifts,

for the zoosters!!

Santa's memory returns,

and he takes off with one last bag of gifts!!

Now were back in Madagascar,

for the best Christmas ever...

with all the wacky penguins!!

I will be posting more pictures from this trip tomorrow!!

Barn Charm #21

Somewhere in Pennsylvania

This was a drive by on our way home from Longwood Gardens,
I am not sure where we were.

If you look carefully, you can see a goat, peaking out the back door!

Christmas on the Potomac, Part 3

The Peeps Store...
it gets it's own entry because,
it. was. amazing.

Believe it or not, this store has nothing but Peeps products!!
If you don't love them when you arrive,
you will when you leave!!

When I walked in the store, I was greeted by this purple Peeps!!
Now who on earth told them I was coming??
Perhaps it was Santa!!

This is the view,

as you walk in the front door!!

Ms. Peeps did change color,
maybe there are people in this world who don't adore purple!!

Now let's talk Art...

Peeps Art for sale, it was a tad pricey.
And excuse me girls, we can make these ourselves!!

Do I see hearts?!?!

Yes I do!!
Now that's a lot of Love!!
