Lake of the Lilies

I saw a lot of Mallard Ducks during my recent visit to Lake of the Lilies.
I don't always pay attention to the Mallards because they are so common around here.
But on Saturday they looked particularly beautiful...
and if I am to be honest, there were not many other ducks to be seen or photographed.
The ducks that migrate to this lake and spend the winter here, have not arrived yet.

Male Mallards

Female Mallards

A Lesser Scalp

I am pretty sure these are Hybrid Ducks

Lots of Ducks and Swans, it was a beautiful day at the lake!

Hello Debbie,
Beautiful captures of the ducks. The Mallard male is beautiful. The first and third photos are my favorite. But, they are all lovely photos. Have a happy day!

Their feathers are such perfection. I love the dash of cobalt blue on the female.

You did well in giving them attention. The photos are great Debbie. The first one and those who are among the flowers I like the most.
I wish you a good day.

Mallards are seriously underrated. If they weren't so common people would be oohing and aahing until their tongues got sore.
