Local Scarecrows...

We have not been taking our usual Halloween/Fall trips.
We have not driven around town to look at Halloween Decorations.
We were going to drive out to Peddlers Village, Pa. to see their scarecrows
but I just didn't feel like it - it takes about an hour and a half.
Instead, on Sunday,
we took a very short stroll around Manasquan
to see how the local people are scaring things up, I thought there would be more.
We didn't vote, it was after 5 pm and most of the stores were closed.

This was my favorite...

I liked all of the detail and art in the green pumpkin head!

Manasquan Cheerleader...

and yep, I have no idea what this is!

We also stopped for ice cream, which we really didn't need but the hubs insisted!

I can look in the mirror first thing in the morning and scare myself, I don’t need to walk the streets!

The thing that really seems odd to me is that the streets are almost totally devoid of people.

this is a very small beach town. it was after 5 pm on sunday and almost all of the shops closed at 4 pm. and in this area, sunday = football, not shopping, but i think the primary reason for the absence of people was the fact that the stores were closed. almost all, except the ice crean parlor!!

Fun to have something like this downtown! And the two of you look like you are happy...maybe it's the promise of ice cream! Enjoy your day!

So glad you were able to make a little jaunt and you shared it with us and of course ice cream ending is the best.

You Americans certainly know how to celebrate, don't you. Halloween isn't big downunder. Some fabulous scarecrows there. Your fave is cool; I rather like Daisy Troop....it must be the pink pumpkin head.=)

Oh, your Hubby is right you must have an Ice Cream treat after looking at all of these scary exhibits. I love how your area does so much decorating. We have a few places that do but not like this.
Blessings and hugs!
