Shore Shacks

On the way to our favorite "hole in the wall" restaurant,
we again passed these cloths hanging outside of an interesting pottery shop.

This time there was a "hippie" type guy sitting at a table that looked like a tree stump...
it looked like he was working on some type of an art project or perhaps carving wood.
Can you see him in the first picture sitting in front of the green cloth?

Have you ever had a meal at one of these shore shack type restaurants?

There are 2 locations.
This one is by the inlet, the other is in Bayhead.
During Covid, we would stop here and get take out, then go to the inlet (minutes away) to eat.

Their Lobster Rolls are really awesome.

On this afternoon we both got Fried Shrimp.
Cleaned, hand breaded and deep fried - the French Fries are hand cut and sprinkled with sea salt.

Shore Fresh serves seafood that comes in fresh, right off these boats.
They have a small dine-in restaurant, take out and a fresh fish market.

- one huge perk of living by the sea -

I would love to walk among those boats. There is something about a marina like that that is so serene and peaceful.

Living by the sea is incredible in so many ways. The seafood is an important part of that. The food looks so good! Love the home cut fries.

I didn't even see the guy until you pointed him out, guess the eye goes directly to the colorful stuff :) I thought you were going to say you stopped and talked to him about what he was doing :)
We went to one of those when we went down to Mississippi, I don't like seafood so hubby asked them if they had any other type food and they said they could make me up a hamburger
