The Very Special Birdhouse

I have been talking a lot about this special birdhouse,
that the hubs bought me for my birthday, many years ago.
It was created by a Swedish artist Rolf Eric Holmquist
 crafted with all recycled materials...

It came with this card, describing the artist.
The card is numbered 38 of 250, the birdhouse is named
"Rent for a Song"

This information is printed on the back of the card.

You can visit his website and read more about the artist here.

Most of the rest of the yellow tulips opened up
and on Tuesday, before the storm, they were drenched in sunshine.

This tree belongs to the neighbor to our left.

They have 2 of these and they are stunning,
I think these are Kwanza Ornamental Cherry Trees, the flowers look like carnations!

Another day, in the books, where does the time go?
- hehehehe -

You have a very nice springtime there ... the tulips, the cherry tree, the beautiful bird house ... everything is perfect!
… and I also like the frog in the background ... even if I'm not a frog fan!
Enjoy your day! Hugs!

It sure is pretty there, Debbie. We are still gray. At least the white is gone.

Very cool backstory about the birdhouse! It's not just your typical house from the garden center at Lowe's. Beautiful flowers and blooms!

I think at the moment all we seem to have is time. LOVE your birdhouse and how gorgeous it looks sitting in that pretty bed of tulips.

Love your birdhouse! We had a very special birdhouse made by a dear friend of DH's mother years ago. He made it for us to use here at this house when we moved in. That was 35 years ago. It was wood also... more a large feeder shaped like a house... but over time it eventually fell apart. And the builder has long passed. But it meant a lot to us. Enjoy your beautiful birdhouse!

That birdhouse is fabulous! Thanks for sharing. Your tulips are a sight for sore eyes as we still have so much snow. I long for pink cloud trees!

Did he buy it in Jersey or down in North Carolina? That would be something if he is selling his stuff up there, unless he is very well known.
Your tulips just brighten up that whole area don't they!
