A Ride In The Car

The hubs had to go out to pay the man that does some maintenance work and repairs for us.
I don't usually tag along, but when he invited me to come yesterday,
I could not get my flip flops on fast enough.

We passed this beautiful church and I was so intrigued by the
Thank You Message
that was hanging on the front door.

We went back to find all these beautiful
Thank You Messages
to the important people in our lives.
The Doctors, Nurses, Firemen, Police, Military, Truck Drivers and Store Employees.
The church also serves as a pre-school, the students who attend colored these,
probably from home and the teacher put this together!
What a great idea.

These daffodils were planted out front, they were soaked in sunshine.
It was just a ride in the car...
but what a difference that made for me.

What a beautiful day!

I wish we could go beyond the boardwalk but I am thankful to be able to do that much. Hang in there Debbie.

Hello, I love all the thank you messages. I am thankful for all the healthcare workers, everyone who is out there putting their health/lives at risk. The flowers look beautiful, so cheerful. Take care, enjoy your day! Wishing you a happy weekend ahead.

What a lovely idea. It is nice to get out and about. I think my little car might have seized up by the next week when I have to go to work.

Nice that you could get out! The positive messages and flowers help negate some of the constant bad news.

I know what you mean about going out... I’m still so happy to be home right now and not riding in a car, but we haven’t even been back a week yet. We had groceries delivered ! I like to grocery shop and after a week or so I’m sure I’ll be begging to go do it myself just to go somewhere! (It is ok for us to walk, wearing a mask and our neighborhood has some nature paths, so that will help.).

It is great to see that even during this crisis time, people make an effort to thank those who serve us.

Oh that's so lovely to see photos of your outing. I so miss being able to go for a drive with hubby. We have restrictions over here that prohibit that... I so longed to go with my hubby yesterday to Lakes for a medical appointment - two people in the car would have risked being stopped by the police but that's how it is, I'm not grizzling :D).
Love those daffodils...all the best Debbie and thanks for sharing xx

that is so neat what they did for those that are doing so much for us to say thank you, so cute!
We got out last weekend for a little drive and that made a world of difference for me too, so thankful for those little things that's for sure!

The big thank you poster is very touching. It's amazing what a car ride will do when we've been sheltered indoors for a long time. The daffodils look so happy in the sunshine. Thanks for sharing your world.

Lovely to see the daffs are out. I know the feeling about a little ride in the car, I am doing the same thing, not missing an opportunity to go out for a drive! We have not left our apartment building since Sunday!
