Saving Memories!

In keeping with yesterday's theme of saving memories...
you may also remember that I print my blog into a book, every three months.
I have done that since I started blogging back in 2010, so I have quite a number of books.

I keep them here and there, scattered about the house.
I number them, here is 1 - 8.

These shelves are in my home office/crafting room!

Books 9 - 14 and 15 - 22 are here...
along with some scrapbooks and a few memory jars in the back.
Souvenir golf balls and Disney Pins are in the dish.

Also you can see my postcard book,
if you are not familiar with that, you can read about it here and here.

I keep my most current blog books on the coffee table, along with some other, fun to look at books.
I always keep one scrapbook, open on the coffee table as well.

I don't create these scrapbooks much anymore,
as my blog works as my scrapbook.
I still have several years of pictures to put in to books like these from before I started blogging.
For when I have spare time.

I use this site to print the books.
I receive an email when they are running a special,
and usually take advantage of the discount they are offering, 20 - 30% off.
A typical book for three months is about 450 pages with large pictures.
If you are interested in more information about printing your blog,
I shared a more detailed post here.

The weather has gotten cold again and after being spoiled with 60 degree temperatures last week,
we are back down to single digits today.

I always wonder, am I the only one who prints their blog?
Let me know in the comments!

You are very dedicated to this. I have printed some into binders in the past, but I am still toying with the idea of an actual book. In fact, I was working on it a bit last night.

Hello, you have such fun ways to keep your memories. I buy the hat pins from all the places I visit, plenty of old photo albums from trips and my online Flickr gallery. But, I do not print my blog. I was wondering how many of the memory jars you have now. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

I remember this, and was thinking about how you do this and that I would like to do this for my old blog. I assume I'll eventually take it offline. Thanks for the information - it's such a great idea!

I would love to have some of my blog stories printed but I really have NO room to store that stuff! Your organization of the books and stuff looks so nice. I love the leather looking purse/box on the shelf, what is that?

I do remember that you said that, and I think it's a great idea and in fact probably sometimes not so easy to find postcards these days to buy. Or it seems I can't find them like I used to. I clicked on your here and here and that book out of wood is wonderful, and easy to create. What a great way to keep these cards safe. I like how he signed his, love the hubs!

Such a lovely thing to do, Debbie. You're always full of surprises, and Lord have mercy so much more organized than I've even been.

Nope, not putting my blog in books - too much I wouldn't want any of my family to see. They know I have one, but not how to get to it. :)

xoxo

I'm so glad you get your blog printed as you take some of the most beautiful photos and they need to be preserved! I just love the way you display things. Your home is captivating, inviting and beautiful!

Debbie, I am not sure I told you this (but I meant to!!).
Based on your previous post about this, I have been using Blog-to-Print, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results.
Thank you so very much for sharing.

Our grandson and granddaughter-in-law printed out the blog they made of their honeymoon (a 6-month long trip) in India!! It's a beautiful book ... I guess I only thought of printing an exotic adventure like that ... but I love the memories preserved on our blog (even if they are fairly routine) and would be devastated if something happened to the Internet and I lost them. Making a book is a good idea. I do remember your older post and I'll go back and look at it again.

I've never printed my blog, but I bet it's fun to go back and look at your stuff in book form.

Love it when you show pictures of how you organize all your memories! I adore your memory jars!!--such a good idea. I love how you have all your books all lined up all orderly, they look so nice. I am especially intrigued by the cute little postcard book---I'm not off to see how you made that! (I've collected postcards for about 45 years now) I made the big 12x12 scrapbooks for many years, then switched to the smaller 8x8 ones, they store alot easier. It's getting awful hard to find extra pages for either size nowadays, they used to be so popular. The past few years I've also been making "tiny" scrapbooks, little 5x7 or 4x4 books, I've surprised myself with how much you can fit onto the pages and how many stickers and decorations you can use, even on the little books! they ARE SO EASY TO TOTE AROUND as well, especially travelling. I packed a whole box of them for our recent Fall trip,to share with family, and it was so easy to pack and transport them.

I love that you print your blog off and I have thought about it often but still haven't done it. You have such a wonderful blog with so many interesting adventures and photos that those books are treasures.
I really like that you have scrapbooks too. I do have some photo books through the years and some scrapbooks. I wish I would have done more.
I do hope to do my husband and my own history at some point with lots of photos. I did my parents and my Aunt's history. I really cherish them.
Thanks for the links to having your blog printed off. I will hope to think more seriously about it.
Sending loving thoughts and. Hugs!
