Home Chef

Are you familiar with those meal delivery services?
Where you pick 3 - 5 meals per week,
and the company sends you all the fresh, perfectly proportioned ingredients to prepare them?
I have been eyeing them for several months, read the reviews on all of them,
and finally decided to subscribe to

I selected 3 meals for 2 people for the week, there were about 10 meals to choose from.

The box, everything was packaged beautifully.

The ingredients for each meal are measured out and packaged separately.
Chicken with Parmesan Cream Sauce and a Salad

Sirloin Steak with Fingerling Potatoes and Green Beans

This is how it appears as you look down in to the sack.

Margarita Pizza

These are the ingredients for that.

Each meal comes with a recipe card,

with very specific directions to make the dish.

The three sacks are condensed and take up very little room in the refrigerator.
The cost is $ 9.95 each, per meal.
They do have a coupon for new subscribers and if you recommend 3 people through email,
you receive an additional $ 30.00 off.

I am so stoked to get started and I will keep you updated.
And I guess I should say I did not receive any compensation to share this post.

Hello, it is a great idea for people who are not able to get out shopping or have trouble choosing what to eat and how to prepare the meal. This price sounds reasonable compared to the store prices. Thanks for sharing. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

I love meal delivery services. So helpful. We tried Green Chef and I liked it. Reed is too picky for that stuff now though, so I will have to wait for him to be older before I try again.

Enjoy your delish dinner!!! xoxo Andrea @ This Knitted Life

Yum! I have been thinking about trying a similar one. It would be great on days I am coming in late from school. Hugs!

Definitely interested in what you think. I looked at Blue Apron one time, but never subscribed.

How really fun. You will have to let me know how you like it and if you think the food is good.
It looks like its going to be fun.
Thanks for sharing Debbie, I have never heard of that place or that that was even a possibility.

I imagine it would be nice to just have everything sent to you so you don't have to worry about shopping and making sure you have everything. It all looks pretty fresh and that would be my biggest concern, curious what you think every week.

I thought that such a personalized service would cost more.

I have not heard of this one, Debbie.
I know a few people who have tried Hello Fresh and Blue Apron, and they liked them EXCEPT that they said the portions were tiny tiny, and they are pretty expensive. Definitely going to look up Home Chef.
Thank you for sharing!!
xo.

These type of meals/firms seem to be getting more and more popular.
Look forward to reading more over the coming weeks.

All the best Jan

I do this about once a month, get 3 meals for two people, and I like all the companies I have tried. All have tasty, innovative and healthy options. Sometimes they send me emails, we want you back, next order is half off. Yum. The portions are an ideal size for me and other family member, not too big.
