Lighthouses & Cosmos...

During our trip to Cape May on October 27th, in the butterfly garden we visited,
there were cosmos blooming.
So late in the season, I could hardly believe it.
Cosmos have become one of my favorites lately, but honestly...I say that about all the flowers.

We had lunch at the Lobster House, which proudly displayed the following...

Lobster
Caught by Captain Arne Jensen
On the F/V Courageous
July 3, 1985
At Georges Bank
Weight 37 1/4 pounds

Don't you just love the Captain's name, Arne...he sounds like a real fisherman.

We stumbled upon Cinderella's Coach

Cape May has a beautiful lighthouse,

it is usually our last stop before heading home.

If you missed any of my other entries from this day trip they can be found here and here.

I didn't know Cinderella was from Cape May! (That carriage is too cool!) We used to grow cosmos when we had a house and yard ... one of my favorite flowers because... they don't take any work at all, at least they didn't here in Oregon. They just grew their little hearts out with no attention whatsover. A poor gardener's dream flower!
