The Ships At The Shore

Most days when you visit the Point Pleasant inlet, it is barron, desolate...
the ships are out in the mighty ocean and this area is quiet,
except for the seagulls.
If you are lucky enough, you visit at a time when the boats are in, resting.
Fishing, is the livelihood of many men in this area!

The River Belle is used for dinner cruises and weddings.

Hello, it is nice to live near the coast and have access to fresh fish and seafood. I love the boats and the gull, great captures. Enjoy your Monday and new week ahead.

I love the sights, smells and sounds of a seaport or wharf! At least I get to see photos through your eyes! Fisherman’s Wharf is one of my favorite places in the world! This fall we will be on a cruise out of Washington and we intend to linger afterwards along the Pacific Northwest coast for awhile!
I do love your Jersey Shore though I’ve never been there and may never get there in person!

Debbie, this makes me think of Tom Sawyer. :)

Dauntless...hehe...quite a name for a riverboat!

Love Jonathan Livingstone Seagull at the end.

Colorful river boat! I've always like the big paddle wheels. Love the Norma-K and the fishing boats! Beautiful gull!

Pretty cruise boats - they look very well kept. The gull doesn’t look to bad, either - must be good eating in the area (the ones around us look a little scraggly)

It's always lovely to see the boats. Have you been on a River Belle dinner cruise Debbie?

Oh, the River Belle Cruise boat is beautiful. We have taken a couple of dinner cruises on boats like these in places we have been. It is such a fun thing to do. You took spectacular shots of the boats and the Seagull.
Blessings and hugs!

I would like to take a ride on the River Belle. Love any boat on the water, always a great combination and you always take such beautiful photos Debbie. Thank you!

These boats certainly tell a story about the lives of their owners. Looking at the working boats I can feel the hard work of many men (and women). Great shots.

wow it looks like you had good timing catching many of them back home, very cool pics of them. I always thought the river cruises would be fun but I get motion sickness so bad we have never done one where you eat on them, I don't think others would appreciate that :)
