World Wide Knit In Public Day

Yesterday was
"World Wide Knit In Public Day"
and I thought "now I have heard everything, but I like it"...
I wonder if there is a Hallmark Card for that?
hehehehe

No matter,
I received a kind invite from Leanne and some of my favorite knitters gathered on the farm,
to knit and chat...mostly to chat.

This is Dee, she and her husband Don own the farm,

The alpaca recently got their "haircut",
they always look so different after shearing day!

I adore the group of girls I knit with, they are always so kind and supportive.
Leanne has taught me so much, not just about knitting, but about life.
She has taught me to "always keep going, even if you have made a mistake...
not to sweat the small stuff and to always laugh, no matter what"
And if you find a great burger joint,
adjust future trips accordingly!

  4. World-wide knit in public day? I am thinking the same thing - I think I've heard everything, but like it all the same. I like the idea of having a group of women to chat and knit with, and the alpaca are so adorable. Burger joints - yes! definitely worth adjusting plans for.

  12. Is that a stuffed animal alpaca??? OHHHHH!!!!! Sweet.

You make knitting sound like a subversive act. Hehehhehe...

And....real alpacas! I love them. I want my neighbor to get some so I can see them and feed them apples over the fence, but don't have to shovel poop.

  15. I adore everything about this Alpaca farm. It's just charming. The idea of knitting outside with a bunch of good friends just sounds lovely. I am intrigued with the item the owner is making. Apparently, it's done on a loom? Is it weaving?
