If you follow my blog you know I recently had trouble with a big bad hawk.
He scared all of my little birds...
but he is gone now and all of my birds have returned.
Next problem,
the tree I photograph them in has gotten huge and that means a copious number of leaves.
I got the hubs busy on trimming that, so I will see how next week goes.
Right now, I am laying seed and peanuts on the deck rail and taking pictures of them there.
I like pictures in the tree better, but all of those pictures are "head shots" at best,
they actually look like heads floating in the leaves.
This week we got Mr. and Mrs....
The Red Bellied Woodpecker
Mrs. House Finch
Mr. Blue Jay

Great series of bird shots - warms my heart!
Hello, Debbie! You are so right, those darn leaves just get in the way! Wonderful captures of all your yard birds. I especially love the male and female Cardinals. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank also for leaving a comment on my post.
Great captures!
Look at their little feet. So amazing!
Peanuts...so the chomp through the shell? I love these shots. The woodpecker is totally smiling for you and Junior...ha ha...smile. He is curious about what's going on. :)
Hello Debbie. A super series of close ups of your visitors.
Fabulous photos, Debbie. It doesn’t matter where the birds are, you always get fabulous photos.
You still got fantastic shots. I had to laugh at the wide-legged stance of the Woodpecker.
Fantastic photos!!!
Have a happy weekend
Greetings

Your pics are fabulous!
Mr. Cardinal might be a lot more showy but I love the coloration on Mrs. Do you see that touch of blue on her back? and the layering between the red and the gray? Just magical.
Such gorgeous photos! Glad the hawk has moved on...they are so beautiful, but they scare everything else away!
Precious visitors.
Great shots!
I just love your pictures. So big, so clear, so colorful, so many details. Love how I can see their feet, their claws, even mr. squirrel's whiskers so well! You are my favorite bird photographer for sure. I'm glad the hawk has moved on to other locale. I had so hoped your little birds would return when he left....looks like they did! We are having a quiet weekend here with alot of rain showers and mild thunderstorms. Sure feels like summer. I haven't been around much this week....so going back to your previous posts to see if I've missed anything now.
Wow, I can see I've missed alot! Y'all have sure been busy with home projects. The garage floor looks very very nice and I love the sprinkles. My favorite though is the pool re-do. It is gorgeous! Love how it looks out over the water too. Now that it's up and running again, will y'all swim any?
Amazing shots!
Nice to get to know different birds...for instance the Red-Bellied Woodpecker.
Enjoy your Sunday!
Ahhh - those pesky squirrels do not like to be left out of the party! I'm so glad your hawk has left and all your pretty birds have returned. We're having a bit of tree work done this summer - unfortunately that will include one of our birdies favorite "landing pads" for the feeder. I'm a little sad - but we'll see how it goes. I suspect they will adapt. I'm fascinated by your mockingbird - I don't know if we have any of those. I need to look it up.
The prettiest birds visit you. Love that orange fellow.
Love all these pictures...
Debbie you got some really great shots! BEAUTIFUL birdies.
Oh WOW!
Wonderful Debbie and I love Junior too!
All the best Jan
So glad your little birds returned, I hope they all avoided any encounters of the hawk kind. Your photos are beautiful, so crisp and detailed, and Junior is adorable!
I LOVE Junior!!!
So glad the hawk is history, Debbie.
xo.
Fantastic! I love the woodpecker and Junior made me laugh! Beautiful photos!
Great assortment of birds. I like that woodpecker & of course Junior, he's so cute.
Oh your hubs is such a sweetie, I enjoyed these just as well :) I am always amazed at the blue jays eating the peanuts :)
