Saturday Critters ~ 237 ~

While riding "The Morgan" on Lake George

I was privileged to see a bald eagle along with its nest.
The captain of the boat said their were 2 young eagles residing there also.
It's hard to see, I know, but it was such a thrill for me.

After passing the nest, one of the adults took flight, can you see it?

He landed in a nearby tree, you can see the back of his head here.
The boat was moving quickly, and it was impossible to get a good picture,
but for me, it was just so exciting to see!

Any sighting of a Bald Eagle is an exciting and memorable event. I have seen hundreds of them yet they never fail to stir my emotions. And as for not getting a picture, you did in fact get the best picture of all, the one in your memory. That you will always have. Thanks for sharing the excitement of the moment with us.

Those eagles are magnificent ccreatures. Capturing birds in the wild is hard but you did beautifully!

Oooh lucky you! I want to see an eagle close up so bad. I guess I am just not near their territory!

I can appreciate your excitement. Eagles care a lot about their privacy. Entire parks get closed down here to keep people away from nests.

Wow, that is so awesome that you were able to see the Eagle nest and see it flying. When we used to go boating on the Coer d’aline, Idaho Lake there were some spectacular Eagle nests.
I loved the boat you were on. Yup! Another awesome adventure.
Blessings and hugs!
