Vintage Car Show

We attended a car show on May 18th in Ocean Grove, Hot Rods and Oldies.
I really like Ocean Grove and I love car shows.
I'm not sure why I like car shows so much, I know nothing about cars.
Make, model, engines...nothing!
But I love seeing all the shiny cars lined up...
I like thinking about where they have been, how many people have owned them,
and how many people have loved and taken care of them.

I really love old trucks, this was a Ford.

This one stole my heart "Jersey Girl".

The hubs had a Chevelle SS similar to this one when he was 17.

This girl "me" loves the really old ones!!

Cool car, "Kool" license plate.

Don't miss the sign on the front...
"This car was purchased in 1915 from the
Mount Ford Agency in Englishtown by Samuel Burke
and is owned and operated by his son and grandson."
How nice that it has stayed in the family.

There were a few "interesting" cars I will show you tomorrow.
Do you have a favorite?
Pick one and share it in the comments!

  1. Your photos are the next best thing to being there. I just love all these old cars. I have always had a hankering for an old Model T Ford but I would certainly be proud to drive any one of these. Thanks Debbie :)

  2. Hello, they are nice looking cars. My son would love the corvette. Wishing you a happy day!

  3. The trouble with vintage car shows is that I remember when those cars were new!

  4. Oh I do love old cars too. My favorites are the Red and white Chevrolet and the yellow one too. My husband and I bought a 1952 Chev Dark and light green when we were seniors in High School for $160.00. It was mainly his car, I just help with some of the money.
    I like those trucks,also.
I saw you were back on a few days ago and so happy because, I have been worried about you. I haven't had time to come in but I will do some catching up today.
Sending loving thoughts, prayers and hugs your way!

  5. I am exactly the same as you about the cars...and why I like seeing them in car shows! All these on display are amazing, but my favorites are the old Chevies, reminds me of the 50s and when my folks were young and a more simple and carefree era. Cant wait to see what ones you have for us tomorrow. You look great in the picture, I hope that means you are feeling much much better!!

  6. Those are fantastic! I have a liking for old cars, but muscle cars are great, too.

  7. Great series of photographs, wonderful cars.

    All the best Jan

  8. it is neat to see that people took care of these old cars, it is such a throw away society now, great to preserve those classics
